We all know them. The folks who have maybe leaned into AI a little too much. You know what I mean: messages that feel overly generic or AI overuse that deprives the work of personality, connection and intent.

This Inc. article is a reminder that while generative AI can be a powerful asset, it can’t replace your humanness. Your voice. Your judgment. Your ability to connect.

I’m a big believer in using AI as a teammate, not just a tool (thanks for that mindset shift, Jeremy Utley). A creative partner that helps you think broader, faster, deeper but not one that replaces your own thinking.

Because at some point, overreliance on AI doesn’t just hurt your work – it starts to erode your own intelligence. 🧠

So where’s the line between enhancement versus dependence? At what point does AI stop being a helpful partner and start replacing our own critical thinking?

Use AI to think bigger, not think less. The responsibility is ours to ensure it’s a partner in progress, not a shortcut to mediocrity.
